On April 26, KSV Johannisthal hosted the traditional Diplomats' Cup 2025 in the sports halls on the club grounds of 1. FC Union Berlin. The field of participants consisted of an "All Star Team" from KSV Johannisthal, a team from the Federal Ministry of the Interior, TuS Makkabi Berlin and the embassy teams from Great Britain, Israel, France and a Nordic team with players from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland.
The spectators were treated to an entertaining tournament with some spectacular goals. Among them were representatives of the tournament partners as well as BFV President Bernd Schultz, Treptow-Köpenick's district mayor Oliver Igel and the Israeli ambassador Ron Prosor, who did not want to miss this extraordinary event. The line-up on the dance floor was also prominent. The Icelandic ambassador Auðunn Atlason was on the pitch for the Nordic team.
At the end of a spectacular tournament, the team from the Federal Ministry of the Interior came out on top ahead of the Nordic team and Great Britain in second and third place. This brought to an end an eventful day that all participants will certainly remember for a long time to come.
