For years, there has unfortunately been a noticeable trend in youth soccer that a disproportionate number of children are leaving the clubs and are therefore being "lost" to soccer. The new forms of play relate to the G-, F- and E-youth age groups and aim to counteract this trend. They focus on child-friendly play with the ball at the foot and scoring goals. These are the main reasons why many children and young people enjoy soccer. Lots of dribbling, numerous goals and goal-scoring actions should enable a lasting sense of personal achievement.
For this reason, the focus is on smaller teams, smaller playing areas and lots of variety through constantly changing playing partners. During a match day, each child takes part in a large number of games, giving them numerous opportunities to experience personal success and compete with players of the same level. This promotes the individual sporting development of the children and young people and strengthens soccer as a whole and the Berlin clubs at grassroots level.
