The Council of Elders shall include the honorary presidents, honorary members and former employees of the BFV and its clubs who have been appointed by the Presidium and are of particular merit. They may not belong to any other BFV body with voting rights.

The Council of Elders may be informed by the Presidium about important BFV issues and may act in an advisory capacity within this framework. The Presidium may delegate representation duties of the association to members of the Council of Elders. The Council of Elders shall intervene to settle disagreements within or between BFV bodies, unless a legal body is already involved. The Council of Elders shall act at the request of the Presidium or other bodies.
