New design, optimized menu navigation, improved user experience - TEAM BERLIN has moved into its new home on the World Wide Web. The Berlin Football Association has been online with its new website since April 1, 2025, which can still be accessed at www.berliner-fussball.de.

The website has been completely redesigned based on the new BFV brand design, which was published in fall 2023. For the first time since 2016, the central information channel of Berlin soccer has thus received a fundamental update and now has a more modern and professional appearance. In addition to the external changes, the menu structure has also been revised to enable more target group-specific navigation.

The following key changes have been made to the BFV website:

• Adapted menu navigation with three overarching subject areas:
  • MORE THAN FOOTBALL: All information on the association structure and the topics of club development, sustainability, events and sponsorship can be found here. Service functions such as overviews with contact persons, downloads and other communication offers are also available in this area.
  • FOOTBALL FOR...: The main players in Berlin soccer are specifically addressed in this menu area. Here you will find relevant information for referees, players, coaches and club representatives.
  • OUR TOPICS: As on the old website, the four core tasks of the association remain a central component of the information architecture of the BFV online presence. All information on the areas of match operations, social responsibility, qualification and talent development can be found here.
• Responsive design: Smartphone use now also accounts for the majority of visits to the BFV website. The new design has therefore been optimized for both desktop and mobile devices and coordinated with the TEAM BERLIN APP.
• Multilingualism and accessibility: The BFV wants to make its online presence as easy and uncomplicated to use as possible for everyone. The new website therefore integrates an automated language translation into English with immediate effect. The number of multilingual contents will be gradually expanded, and an automated translation into plain language is also already being planned.
• Expandability with technical innovations: The new website also expands the possibilities for innovative additions to the website. The new system has given the BFV more scope for the future implementation of additional tools. For example, the integration of an AI-supported chat bot for easier information retrieval is being planned.

Extensive app update as part of the website relaunch

While the focus of the BFV website remains on providing comprehensive and simple information for all relevant players in Berlin soccer, the TEAM BERLIN APP is to be further developed into the central interaction channel in the future. The menu structure in the app will also be adapted in line with the new BFV website and optimized for specific target groups. Users of the app will be informed separately about the corresponding changes.
