It is Germany's largest indoor football tournament for elementary school, grammar schools and community schools up to sixth grade: the Sparki Cup. The 51st edition of the legendary competition, which has been held since 1975 and in which big names such as Márton Dardai, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Dina and Katja Orschmann have taken part in the past, will reach its grand finale on Wednesday, March 18. From 10:30 a.m., the final day will take place in Charlottenburg's Sömmeringhalle, where the four best boys' and girls' teams in Berlin will play out the new title winners.

In total, more than 300 teams from all Berlin districts took part in the Sparki Cup 2026. The Evangelische Schule Frohnau, Johann-Strauß-Schule, Hermann-Sander-Schule and Grünauer Gemeinschaftsschule qualified for the girls' grand final, while Grundschule am Fließtal, Aziz-Nesin-Grundschule, Käthe-Kollwitz-Grundschule and Mahlsdorfer Grundschule qualified for the boys' competition.
In addition to the action on the pitch, a varied supporting program in the hall will provide entertainment on the final day. The mascots Hertinho (Hertha BSC), Ritter Keule (1. FC Union Berlin), Icke (BFV) and Sparki (Berliner Sparkasse) will be on site, the Artistenschule Berlin will offer spectacular show interludes and information offers on qualification measures of the BFV as well as the Berliner Sparkasse and other Sparki Cup partners will round off the program. The Berlin Football Association is looking forward to welcoming numerous spectators from the participating and other Berlin schools. Admission to the final day is free. The winners will be honored after the end of the tournament at around 2:00 pm.
