The Berlin Football Association works together with strong partners from civil society, education and prevention. Together, we campaign against anti-Semitism, racism and all forms of discrimination and support those affected, clubs and those involved in soccer in Berlin.

Our partners support us with specialist expertise, educational offers, advice and networking. They help us to identify discrimination at an early stage, take decisive action against it and create sustainable structures for respectful and diverse soccer.

Cooperation with the Verein für demokratische Kultur in Berlin e.V.

The Berlin Football Association (BFV) and the Verein für Demokratische Kultur in Berlin e. V. (VDK) with its projects Mobile Beratung gegen Rechtsextremismus Berlin (MBR), Berlin gegen Nazis (BGN) and RIAS Berlin signed a far-reaching cooperation agreement in February 2026. The aim of the partnership is to consistently strengthen Berlin soccer against right-wing extremist, anti-Semitic and anti-democratic efforts and to create a safe, diverse and non-discriminatory environment for everyone involved on and off the pitch.

The partner organizations intend to work closely together to support all those involved in Berlin soccer, such as coaches, referees, officials and players, in recognizing and resolutely countering inhumane attitudes. Amateur soccer can be a potential field of activity for right-wing extremists and other anti-democratic groups, which is why the consistent establishment and further development of prevention and intervention structures by the BFV and its member clubs is essential.

In addition to the joint public positioning and professional exchange between the cooperation partners, Berlin soccer clubs in particular should benefit from the collaboration. Educational materials, handouts and digital information formats are to be jointly developed and events such as specialist days, network meetings and qualification formats are to be offered.

BERLIN AGAINST NAZIS

As a mobilization and information platform, BERLIN AGAINST NAZIS connects more than 80 partners from the arts, culture, business, sport, child and youth work, trade unions, clubs, associations and migrant self-organizations with committed people from initiatives and alliances in a cross-spectrum, constantly growing network. BERLIN AGAINST NAZIS provides tips for the preparation of creative actions for a successful protest and makes suggestions for low-threshold positioning in everyday life.

Mobile counseling against right-wing extremism

Since 2001, Mobile Beratung gegen Rechtsextremismus (MBR) has been a point of contact for anyone who wants to become confident in speaking and acting on specific right-wing extremist, right-wing populist, racist and anti-Semitic occasions, whether in a professional or private context. The MBR develops situational strategies for action on site - also long-term and preventative. The MBR is a trusted partner of the BFV. Together with the MBR, the BFV offers training and advice.

Research and Information Center on Anti-Semitism Berlin (RIAS Berlin)

The Recherche- und Informationsstelle Antisemitismus Berlin was founded in 2015 as Germany's first civil society contact point for victims and witnesses of anti-Semitic incidents. Since then, RIAS Berlin has worked with Jewish and non-Jewish organizations to establish a city-wide reporting network for anti-Semitic incidents. Anti-Semitic incidents can be reported confidentially to the project at report-antisemitism.de. If necessary, RIAS Berlin provides psychosocial, legal, anti-discrimination, victim and trial counseling.

RIAS Berlin documents and analyzes anti-Semitic incidents in order to compile an annual report on anti-Semitism in Berlin. This makes both the current manifestations and extent of anti-Semitism as well as the perspectives of those affected visible and contributes to raising awareness in politics and urban society.

Together1

Zusammen1 is a prevention project by MAKKABI Germany as part of the "Living Democracy!" funding program of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth in cooperation with the Central Council of Jews in Germany. Anti-Semitism manifests itself time and again in verbal, visual or physical discrimination, particularly in the "hotbed of sport". Particularly in the context of soccer, anti-Semitic behaviour is sometimes tolerated without contradiction, not even recognized or not reported to the existing reporting offices. Zusammen1 has set itself the goal of tackling this complex problem with vigour and making organized sport sustainably strong against anti-Semitism with a broad portfolio of services (including workshops, lectures, coach education and educational training).

Foundation Remembrance, Responsibility and Future (EVZ)

The Foundation EVZ supports survivors of National Socialist persecution and strengthens the commitment of their descendants, works together with young people to remember the fates of the persecuted, initiates contemporary education for a critical examination of National Socialism and its continued effects, campaigns for equal dignity and equal rights for all people and against anti-Semitism, antiziganism, racism and all forms of discrimination, enables effective action by self-organizations and is a strategic partner and promoter of civil society. Founded in 2000, the EVZ Foundation is particularly active in Central and Eastern Europe, Israel and Germany.

The funding programme "Creating structures against anti-Semitism" strengthens organizations by creating and expanding contact points for the prevention of anti-Semitism as well as through accompanying projects and activities. Our project partners aim to establish sustainable structures to combat anti-Semitic incidents and discrimination and to support those affected.
