Junior performance squad (JLK)
The Junior Performance Squad (JLK) is the Berlin Football Association's selection of the most talented young referees. The members referee matches in the highest youth divisions, the Berlin Youth Cup finals and act as assistants in the junior regional leagues.
For this purpose, they are intensively prepared and trained at international training courses, bases and trips. Each JLK referee is supported by a personal coach and regularly observed by experienced referees.
Every year, our JLK referees act as ball boys at the German Cup final in the Olympic Stadium.
The aim of the junior performance squad is to train talented young referees to become professional referees. This is accompanied by the development of responsible and self-confident young people. Former members of the JLK include Manuel Gräfe, Daniel Siebert, Felix Zwayer (all FIFA referees) and Sinem Turac (former 1st Women's Bundesliga).
Management
The JLK is led by Christoph Beblik and Ralf Böhm.
Sighting
Apply for a place in the JLK triage by sending an e-mail to the referee committeein which you introduce yourself, stating your teaching community, your referee and your motivation.
Child and youth protection
All persons involved in the JLK must comply with the BFV's child and youth protection regulations. These guidelines are set out in the following three documents:
Code of honor for referees
DFB Youth Regulations (extract)
BFV recommendations for action
