The path to a license

We understand the term training to mean the initial acquisition of a license for coaches. The BFV is responsible for conducting courses for the C license and B license. All higher licenses are completed at the DFB. A license contains a total of 120 learning units (one learning unit lasts 45 minutes).

Theprerequisite for obtaining a license is the so-called basic coach (formerly basic course), which lays the foundations for volunteer work as a coach in amateur soccer. In the course of acquiring the license, it is possible to specialize as a coach in children's, youth or adult soccer.

The BFV promotes the acquisition of licenses by continuously subsidizing all courses in order to ensure the lowest possible participation fees. Special subsidies are regularly offered for underrepresented groups.
