The Berlin Football Association launched the "Football for All" project funded by Aktion Mensch on February 1, 2020. Following its successful establishment, a further application by the BFV was approved and a funding period was agreed until the end of 2025.
BFV inclusion officer Karl Felix Heinz commented: "Thanks to the approval from Aktion Mensch, we can further develop the structures and services from the last project period and implement new sub-projects in the areas of training operations, accessibility, qualification and public relations. The long-term nature of the project and the amount of funding allow us to make lasting changes to Berlin soccer in favor of the participation of people with disabilities as players, spectators, referees, coaches or volunteers."
The BFV has been committed to inclusive structures at all levels of soccer in Berlin since 2012. Since the beginning of these efforts, various inclusive and specific offers for people with disabilities have been created. The BFV relies on continuous developments in the areas of match operations, inclusive and specific sports offers, qualification, public relations and accessibility in order to ensure the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
