"We've got a really talented player in the U12s, you've got to take a look at her!"

This or something similar is how careers in soccer begin for talented players from Berlin amateur clubs. Numerous players have found their way from Berlin into the world of soccer in recent decades, including many national players - both at youth and adult level.

The basis for the leap into top-level soccer is always the important groundwork of the clubs in conjunction with the talent development measures of the Berlin Football Association - a real alliance in TEAM BERLIN! In addition, there is cooperation with other important players in Berlin soccer, e.g. the elite schools of sport/football, the state sports association, the Olympic base and, of course, the DFB base system for the youngest talents.

The BFV supports talented players in the junior selection teams and in the respective age groups. The scouting takes place continuously in the teams of the amateur clubs as well as through centralized scouting days for the juniors.

The respective committees of the association(Committee for Women and Girls and the Youth Committee) are responsible for providing the best possible support for the Berlin talents together with the sports team, consisting of the association's sports coaches and their functional teams.
