Volunteer work is essential for all areas of amateur soccer in Berlin and without the numerous hours of voluntary work performed by coaches, support staff, officials and parents, amateur soccer would not be possible in its current form.

For this reason, it is a fundamental task of the BFV to promote volunteers and ensure strong volunteer structures in Berlin soccer by promoting measures to recruit, recognize and qualify volunteers (see also BFV statutes §4 No. 3 k) & §33 No. 4 g)).

Promoting and strengthening volunteering is therefore one of the most important sustainability issues. Volunteering is the pillar of sport, the backbone of our society and a fundamental building block of amateur soccer in Berlin.
