The current weather forecasts predict temperatures around and below freezing in Berlin for the coming week. Ice, snow and the risk of slippery surfaces will therefore continue to keep the capital city busy and many sports facilities will remain closed. In order to provide its clubs with early planning security, the BFV has therefore extendedthe general cancelationoriginally scheduled until February 8 up to and including Sunday, February 15, 2026.
All regular and recreational matches at BFV level continue to be affected. Test matches can take place if the pitches are individually playable. The responsible sports authorities must be consulted for this. Matches at NOFV and DFB level are also not affected by the general cancellation. Here, too, however, there may be an increased number of match cancellations. Indoor tournaments are expected to take place as planned.
