As the Berlin Football Association, we have been successfully promoting young, committed people and sustainable club development for many years. The opportunity to get involved in a Berlin soccer club as part of a Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) or Federal Voluntary Service (BFD) will therefore be continued. Clubs that would like to offer an FSJ or BFD at their club can currently apply to us.
The online form is open up to and including March 26, 2026. The following criteria should be met for an application.
Voluntary service in Berlin soccer: club application
Minimum requirements:
The overall club (including all divisions) has a maximum of 1,000 members.
The club is actively involved in youth work and has registered teams in at least four age groups in the 2025/26 season.
The club has participated in the "FSJ im Berliner Fußballverein" project no more than twice in the last five years
Jury criteria:
A clear club strategy is evident from the fields of action and projects.
Volunteers are meaningfully integrated into the development of the fields of action.
The club has sufficient and suitable personnel capacity to provide guidance.
The working environment of the volunteers is appropriate to the fields of activity.
The daily routine is made clear by the weekly schedule. The working hours are tailored to the various tasks.
The organization is attractive for volunteers.
Additional criteria:
Shared positions are preferred.
Preference is given to associations with volunteers from their own ranks.
