Polytan Cup 2025: Three finals on Whit Sunday

On Sunday, June 8, 2025, the Volksparkstadion Mariendorf (Prühßstraße 90, 12105 Berlin) will once again be the scene of exciting final duels. Starting at 10:00 a.m., the finals of the Polytan Cup for the 7s women, the 2nd women and the 1st women will take place there. As last year, tickets for the cup day are only available online via the ticket store of the Berlin Football Association available.

Offensive forces among themselves
The women's 7s team from BW Mahlsdorf/Waldesruh and Türkiyemspor Berlin IV will kick off at 10:00 am. Both teams have impressed in the competition so far with strong offensive performances. As the only representatives in their respective leagues (Mahlsdorf/Waldesruh: Berlin-Liga; Türkiyemspor: Bezirksliga), they have also been able to score goals in the three-digit range. Consequently, both teams finished the league in first place.

Mission title defense?
In the second final at 12:00 noon, the U23 of 1. FC Union Berlin and the U20 of Viktoria Berlin will face each other. The Union women go into the match as defending champions. Both teams impressed in the cup season with commanding victories and strong defensive performances. Viktoria conceded just one goal, while Union did not have to concede a single goal.

Final debutant against perennial finalist
The final match of the cup day will be the 1st women's final between FC Viktoria Berlin and Borussia Pankow at 15:00. This will be Borussia's first participation in a cup final. The anticipation and motivation to write club history is correspondingly high. Viktoria, on the other hand, is one of the most experienced cup teams in Berlin and has reached the final for the seventh time in a row.

Another highlight of this cup day: Anouk Dekker, captain of FC Viktoria Berlin, will call time on her active career after this match. This means that a runner-up in the World Cup and European Championship with the Netherlands will lace up her soccer boots for the very last time on the stage of the Polytan Cup final.

Awareness team also in action at the Polytan Cup

As with the amateur final day, an awareness team will also be on site at the Polytan Cup. The concept aims to create more awareness, protection and participation in Berlin soccer. A trained team, easily recognizable by their purple vests, will be available for all visitors. People can use the code word "Where is Lina?" to get help discreetly and confidentially.
