On September 18, 2025, the Women's and Girls' Football Committee drew lots for the first main round of the Polytan Cup for 1st, 2nd and 7th women. After the qualifying round, the national cup competition will really pick up speed when the first main round matches are played on October 1.

Polytan Cup: A fresh coat of paint for the season
New coat of paint and more presence
While the women's national cup was simply advertised using the lettering of its namesake Polytan until the end of the past season, the competition will have its own logo for the new season. By taking up the curved look of the distinctive winners' trophy, this logo will have a special recognition value and will help to ensure that the presentation of the Polytan Cup does justice to the steadily increasing interest in female soccer.
In addition, Berlin's soccer fans can look forward to another extra: after this format has already established itself in the COSY-WASCH men's national cup over many years and various namesakes and enjoys great popularity, there will also be a "match of the day" in selected rounds of the Polytan Cup for the current season. The BFV will accompany matches in the competition in the form of on-site social media coverage and a video report with commentary, giving Berlin amateur soccer the stage it deserves.
