Four out of five titles: Team Berlin celebrates its oldies

Since mid-June, the 2026 NOFV Youth Championships have been taking place in northeastern Germany. Berlin was represented by a total of seven teams and celebrated four championship titles across five competitions!

Türkiyemspor Women Take the Lead

As early as June 21, Team Berlin celebrated its first title. Türkiyemspor Berlin entered the Women’s U32 tournament as the defending champion and prevailed over the competition in all three of its matches. With a perfect record, the Kreuzberg-based team climbed to the top of the standings and once again claimed the NOFV Women’s Over-32 Championship. With this victory, the team qualified for the German Over-32 Soccer Championships, to be held in Berlin from August 21 to 23, 2026.

Hertha Scores a Double Victory; Mariendorf Pulls Off an Upset

Türkiyemspor’s victory was followed by a true Berlin title frenzy! The capital city was represented by two teams in both the NOFV Under-32 and Under-40 championships and managed to secure a double victory in each. The Hertha BSC teams secured the title in both tournaments—in the Over-40s division, they even finished with a perfect record, having neither lost a game nor conceded a goal—and will thus also compete in the German Championships. The BSV Dersim U-32 team and the TSV Mariendorf U-40 team each finished third in their respective tournaments.

TSV Mariendorf, on the other hand, pulled off a real coup at the NOFV Over-50 Championship. There, the team from southern Berlin established itself at the top of the standings and ultimately secured the title—as well as a spot in the German Championship—ahead of FC Energie Cottbus. The SSV Köpenick-Oberspree U60 team, however, was not so fortunate; although they also played an outstanding tournament, they were defeated by Dresdner SC in the championship match after a penalty shootout.

We warmly congratulate Türkiyemspor Berlin, Hertha BSC, and TSV Mariendorf on winning the titles and are keeping our fingers crossed for them at the German Championships. We also congratulate BSV Dersim, the Mariendorf over-40s, and SSV Köpenick-Oberspree on their strong performances. The participants delivered an outstanding performance together for Team Berlin!
