Who will reach the final: Double cup clash at the weekend

The COSY-WASCH State Cup for men's 1st team is heading into the semi-finals and has some exciting matches in store. On Saturday, March 28, VSG Altglienicke Berlin will host FC Hertha 03 Zehlendorf, while SV Sparta Lichtenberg 1911 will face BFC Dynamo on Sunday, March 29. Both matches will be accompanied by a video report.

Regional league players among themselves

The semi-finals kick off on Saturday with the match between the two regional league rivals VSG Altglienicke and FC Hertha 03. At the Willi-Sänger-Sportanlage (Köpenicker Landstraße 186-218, 12437 Berlin), the hosts will be looking to make the most of their home advantage from 14:00 and secure an early ticket to the final. The visitors from Zehlendorf come to Treptow freshly strengthened: Last Wednesday, they took three points home from Saxony against league leaders Lokomotive Leipzig. However, VSG Altglienicke also passed their league match with flying colors and were able to establish themselves in the upper third of the table with a 3:1 victory over FC Eilenburg. An exciting match between two highly motivated teams awaits.

Second semi-final in Lichtenberg

On Sunday, March 29 at 2:00 pm, the second semi-final will take place in Lichtenberg. Here, Oberliga side Sparta Lichtenberg 1911 will face regional league side and defending champions BFC Dynamo in front of a sold-out crowd. While Lichtenberg beat FC Internationale Berlin on penalties in the last round, BFC Dynamo won 3:1 at league rivals BFC Preussen after regulation time. Whether a cup thriller can also be expected in this match will be revealed on Sunday afternoon at the Paul-Kalkbrenner-Sportfeld (Fischerstraße 15, 10317 Berlin) .
