Saturday afternoon in Kreuzberg. The banks of the Landwehr Canal around the Urbanhafen are once again bursting at the seams - no wonder, as the sun is also making an appearance in the pleasant late summer temperatures. Booming hip-hop bass mingles with the rattling of the cage bars as yet another soccer bounces off them. That's what street soccer sounds like here.

030 Street Cup: FSV Hansa 07 dominates the cage
The football pitch on the grounds of Statthaus Böcklerpark was the venue for a special kind of tournament on Saturday, August 30, 2025: the 030 Street Cup, Berlin's first official street football championship for women* and girls*, celebrated its premiere. "Football is more than just regular matches on the artificial and natural grass pitches of the city's sports facilities. Street soccer is also part of it and, in its own way, also creates identity for the neighborhoods," explained Malte Schruth, BFV Presidential Member for Innovation, Club and Association Development and Qualification. "As the Berlin Football Association, we have to keep an eye on this form of soccer culture, offer it a platform and promote it in cooperation with social institutions. I am therefore very happy and proud that we were able to organize the first edition of the 030 Street Cup here in the neighbourhood together with the Statthaus Böcklerpark."
Five games, five wins - Hansa 07 unstoppable
A total of six teams took part in the first 030 Street Cup: FSV Hansa 07, © bras, Küstensturm, FC Nordost, Eintracht Südring and Chemie Adlershof. All teams competed against each other once on a tartan surface. The game was played for seven minutes with four outfield players and a goalkeeper. If a ball went out of bounds in the cage, which was open on one side, the game was continued by dribbling in. The traditional kick-off at the start of each game was replaced by a back-to-back one-on-one duel. Another special feature: there were no referees on the football pitch, so the players had to take responsibility for adhering to the rules and ensuring fair play - which they did extremely well.
The FSV Hansa 07 team will probably remember this all-round successful tournament day for a long time to come. The team from Kreuzberg won all five games and crowned themselves the first official Berlin street soccer champions with 15 points and 16 goals. The teams © bras and Küstensturm followed in second and third place in the final table. Between the matches, both players and spectators had the opportunity to take part in challenges and win attractive prizes from BFV premium partner Nike. In addition, all those present were delighted to be visited by prominent players from 1. FC Union Berlin, FC Viktoria Berlin and Hertha BSC as well as BFV President Bernd Schultz.
The BFV would like to thank the three Berlin professional clubs, Football Week and MVMT FC for their support, as well as Sami for hosting the event. A big thank you also goes to BFV premium partner Nike and the Statthaus Böcklerpark. We would also like to wish FC Nordost a speedy recovery - may your injured player get well again as soon as possible!
