The format of the board meeting has been revised and is now called the "club workshop" at the BFV. The primary aim of the revised format is to enable Berlin's volunteers to deal with specific challenges and current issues within Berlin amateur soccer. Furthermore, the exchange with and among the clubs should also find its place, making the introduction of the new format a logical consequence of the TEAM BERLIN kick-off dialog.
Unlike the previous board meeting, the association workshop will be a qualification measure for which cross-district registration is possible via the event calendar. The dates of the club workshop consist of a content-related impulse from the BFV, a group work phase among the participants on the relevant topic and a final results review by the BFV.
The new format will kick off on Monday, June 8, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the stratum lounge (Boxhagener Str. 16, 10245 Berlin) on the topic of "Commitment and Volunteering in Clubs". The event is aimed at volunteer officers, board members and interested parties and is intended to highlight the importance of structured volunteer management as well as approaches to recruiting, supporting and retaining volunteers. The prerequisite for participation is membership of a BFV member club. Registration for the club workshop is free of charge.

Until August 31, 2026, clubs can collect 25 points for the "Vorstandstreff" measure by participating in the club workshop as part of the DFB points game. (Register now for the DFB points game here.)

The previous board meetings, which have established themselves in Berlin soccer as district regulars' tables, will not be completely forgotten, but will be continued under a different name in the future. The focus will continue to be on the exchange between club board members and the BFV presidium. Further information on this will follow shortly.
The "club workshop" (board meeting) is part of the DFB's master plan. The aim of the DFB and its 21 regional associations is to maintain and strengthen the unique, nationwide network of soccer clubs and clubs with soccer facilities in Germany.
