Berlin Quartet Competes for the Ü Championship

Stefan Kießling, Max Kruse, Karim Benyamina, and Zsanett Jakabfi—to name just a few who have already graced the field at the German Masters Soccer Championships. This time-honored competition, which enjoys great popularity every year, will take place again on August 22 and 23, 2026, at Berlin’s Olympiapark and is sure to feature a few well-known names in the lineups once more.

Special attention is focused on Team Berlin: With a total of four teams, the capital is represented in every division and looks forward to welcoming numerous spectators who will be cheering on Türkiyemspor Berlin, TSV Mariendorf, and—twice—Hertha BSC. Admission is free!

Who will make it onto the “Oldie” podium?

The action kicks off on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. at Hueppeplatz, as well as at the Hanns-Braun-Stadion and the stadium at the Wurfplatz in Berlin’s Olympic Park (Friedrich-Friesen-Allee, 14053 Berlin). Twenty games—some of which will be played simultaneously—will be featured each day.

In the women’s over-32 division, Türkiyemspor Berlin will be competing. The Kreuzberg-based team was already represented last year and secured second place. Will it be enough for the title this time? The over-40 men’s team from Hertha BSC already claimed the title last summer. On their quest to defend their title, the Hertha team will face off against 1. FC Nürnberg, among others. Will the “Old Lady” even clinch the double? The Blue-and-Whites are also in contention for the German championship in the men’s over-32 division this year. For the TSV Mariendorf men’s over-50 team, just being there is already a highlight. Following their upset victory at the NOFV Regional Championships, they’ll be taking on teams like Werder Bremen and 1. FC Nürnberg this coming weekend—and who knows, maybe they’ll pull off another upset!

We wish all the Berlin teams the best of luck and, above all, lots of fun at the tournament!
