Berlin teams reach for the indoor coup

Berlin is still in the midst of the annual football fever! Over the past few weekends, the first teams were able to secure the BFV indoor championships before the remaining finals take place next weekend, February 14/15, 2026. In addition, the NOFV Futsal Regional Championships will take place over the next week and a half, in which the Berlin champions will take part. Berlin will also be the venue.

First junior champions announced, Union the ultimate in the female field

Two out of four Berlin indoor champions were crowned last weekend in the junior division. In the B-juniors SC Staaken took the indoor crown. The team came first in an exciting group stage and fought their way into the semi-finals, where they beat Kickers 1900 2:1 in a close game. In the final, the team from Staaken then took the lead against SC Berliner Amateure after just four minutes and held on to win the title 1-0.

In the A-Juniors the following day, SV Empor Berlin were crowned Budenzauber champions. With three wins from three group matches, the team from Pankow advanced to the semi-finals with ease. There, too, there was a clear 3:0 victory against Berliner SC. The final was all the more exciting and turbulent: The team only prevailed against Stern Marienfelde in a thrilling seven-metre shoot-out and won the title with a 4:2 victory.

The Berlin Indoor Championships of the Committee for Women's and Girls' Football were a real joyous occasion for 1. FC Union Berlin. With all four participating teams, the "Iron Ladies" secured the city championship. Without losing any points and without conceding a goal, the B-Juniors won the title in league mode with an impressive performance. Also exclusively victorious and without conceding a goal, the C-junior girls reached the final of their final round. There they won the championship in a prestigious duel with Hertha BSC, who had been performing equally furiously up to that point, with a 4:2 victory. The final round of the D-junior girls was also played in league mode. Without losing any points and with a goal difference of 21:1 from five games, the title once again went clearly to the Köpenick girls. It was a tighter affair for the Union U23s, who won the women's championship. women went to the start. With three wins and a draw, they went into the all-important league match against Friedrichshagener SV. With a 2:2 draw, the Union women defended their first place against their district rivals and secured the tournament victory.

Who will hit the big time?

Indoor soccer continues on the weekends of February 14/15 and 21/22. The last two Berlin finals will then be held for the C and D juniors, while the NOFV regional championships will take place at the same time. Berlin can look forward to hosting two of these, on February 21 for the B-juniors and on February 22 for the C-juniors.
