Register now and talk about diversity in soccer

How diverse is soccer? Is football still a male domain? Can passes be gay? And what can gender-equitable and gender-inclusive soccer look like?

Dr. Karolin Heckemeyer, sports sociologist and gender researcher at the FHNW School of Education (Switzerland), will be talking about precisely this in a digital impulse on November 11, 2025 from 18:00 to 20:00. She researches and teaches on the topics of sexual and gender diversity, diversity and heterogeneity in sport and physical education. The lecture will explore the above questions and invite the audience to join in the discussion.

Registration is possible until November 9 under the following link: "Sexual and gender diversity in soccer - intersectional perspectives".

The impulse is part of the supporting program of "Ready. Set. Coach.". The project is a cooperation between the Berlin Football Association and its premium partner Nike. The aim is to strengthen the representation of girls, women, inter, non-binary, trans and agender people as coaches in amateur soccer.
