The LSB Child Protection Seal is aimed at Berlin sports associations and clubs and is a certificate for child protection in sport. The seal helps to create a safe environment for children and young people in sports clubs and can also serve as a guide for parents, children and young people - at a time when the number of reported cases of child abuse in Germany is constantly increasing. number of reported cases of child abuse in Germany is constantly increasingthis is all the more important.
The LSB Child Protection Seal is mandatory for associations and clubs that receive funding from the Landessportbund Berlin from January 1, 2026 or January 1, 2027 at the latest. If the seal is not available, no funding will be awarded. From 2027, this will also apply to the grants from DKLB funds that are distributed annually to BFV member clubs with a youth section.
It is not sufficient for clubs if the associated association (in this case the BFV) has the LSB child protection seal. The BFV member clubs must also obtain the LSB child protection seal independently. You can find out whether the seal is obligatory for your club in order to receive LSB funding, or when the obligation applies, with the LSB's self-test.
