Update: The D-Junior championship will be decided on July 5

The championship game to determine the Berlin D-Junior champion, originally scheduled for Sunday, June 28, 2026, has been postponed due to extreme heat. The new date is Sunday, July 5, 2026 (kickoff at 12:00 p.m.) at Rehberge Stadium (Afrikanische Str., 13351 Berlin).

In this decisive match, FC Hertha 03 Zehlendorf will face off against Frohnauer SC. Both teams finished the season at the top of their respective Berlin-Liga divisions—with just one game standing between them and the Berlin championship. Spectators can look forward to an exciting championship match, as the teams’ goal differentials so far (Hertha 03 – 142:26, Frohnauer SC – 118:28) promise a clash between two offensively strong teams.

Christian Broßmann, coach of Hertha 03, ahead of Sunday’s match:

“It’s a clear 50/50 game against Frohnau… they’ve come out on top in a strong division and are a team for which we have the utmost respect.  […] Our team’s strength clearly lies in its balance; everyone plays for each other, and no one begrudges another anything. I’m proud of that, because ten of our 18 players started with us at age four and have grown together as a team, with only occasional reinforcements. Incidentally, the same is true of Frohnauer SC…

So you could say it’s going to be a final between two teams that are loyal to their clubs—that’s truly extraordinary.”

Frohnauer SC is also looking forward to the upcoming game:

“Both teams know each other from the 2024–25 season, when their matchups were high-level, fair, and extremely close. The anticipation for the final is correspondingly high.

Regardless of the outcome, Frohnauer SC can already be proud of its U13 team. Throughout the 2025/26 season, the team has impressively demonstrated what is possible with good training, composure, strong team spirit, and great passion.”
