U14 juniors: Successful comparison course with the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association
At the beginning of last week, the Berlin U14 team completed a comparative training course with the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association.
In two challenging matches under different weather conditions, the Berliners convincingly implemented the required content and won both matches 3:0. In particular, the structured team play on the large pitch was noticeably further developed. The division of space appeared clearer, positional play more stable and joint defending characterized the game for long stretches. Time and again, the team managed to win the ball in favorable zones through coordinated tackling and a strong presence in counter-pressing.
Many players showed courage when dribbling and made increasingly better decisions when tying up and releasing the ball. At the same time, there is still potential for further development in the final third, particularly in terms of more consistent and determined finishing.
Off the pitch, the course was supplemented by a soccer tennis tournament and sports psychology workshops, which provided additional impetus for team spirit and individual development.
"Continuous work, a high level of activity and the will to improve"
Association sports coach Lukas Fechner drew a positive conclusion:
"We would like to thank the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association for two intensive matches at a high level. The days in Wannsee and Mariendorf were extremely valuable for our players. You could see that a lot of the content has already been implemented well, but also where the next development steps lie. It is now crucial that the players take these experiences into their daily club training. Only through continuous work, a high level of activity and the will to improve will they take the next steps."
The Berlin squad included players from the clubs Lichtenrader BC, Hertha BSC, 1. FC Union Berlin, FSV Hansa 07, Rot-Weiß Viktoria Mitte, Rixdorfer SV and Köpenicker FC.

U12 juniors impress at the indoor NOFV tournament
At this year's indoor NOFV tournament, the Berlin U12 team presented itself in a high-class field of participants with strong and continuously improving performances. The team showed pleasing development throughout the tournament, demonstrating both quality play and great commitment.
In terms of content, the focus was primarily on solving short-handed and outnumbered situations as well as a clearly recognizable will to score goals and defend with equal determination. Indoor soccer in particular, with its tight spaces and quick turnarounds, required speed of action, courageous decisions and consistent tackling - all requirements that the Berliners met with increasing confidence.
Great record: only one defeat
The team played a total of nine games, achieving six wins, two draws and just one defeat. All of the players played with great commitment, scored goals and provided assists and actively contributed to the successful performance. A particularly positive aspect was that the players improved over the course of the tournament and acted with increasing maturity in tight game situations.
The Berlin squad included players from the following clubs: Frohnauer SC, Hertha BSC, FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin, VfB Fortuna Biesdorf, 1. FC Union Berlin, Concordia Wilhelmsruh and 1. FC Wilmersdorf.
The indoor NOFV tournament was therefore a valuable assessment at a high level and another important step in the development of the Berlin U12 juniors.
