The second ticket for the final of the Women's 1st Division Polytan Cup will be awarded on Sunday, May 17, 2026. The teams from Berolina Mitte and Borussia Pankow will face each other in the semi-final showdown at Bero (artificial turf pitch, Kleine Hamburger Straße 6, 10117 Berlin) at 4:30 pm. Fans of Berlin women's soccer had to wait a little longer than usual for the match to be scheduled due to a sports and association court case that has now been concluded, but should now be compensated with a real cracker that is definitely worth the trip to Mitte for. Those who already saw the spectacular first semi-final match between FSV Hansa 07 and Viktoria Mitte in April in the "Wrangelritze" (to the review) will probably need no reminder: the semi-final in the Polytan Cup is a must-see, so head to Bero on Sunday afternoon!

The teams from Berolina Mitte and Borussia Pankow know each other all too well from their everyday league matches. Both encounters in the current Berlin League season have been extremely close: the first leg at Berolina Mitte ended in a goalless draw. The visitors won the second leg in Pankow 1:0. The women from Mitte are also slightly ahead in the table and are currently in second place with 60 points and 109:13 goals. Borussia, meanwhile, are in fourth place with 55 points and 79:14 goals.
The constellation suggests a balanced and exciting duel for a place in the final, in which Borussia Pankow can draw on its experience from the last cup season: A year ago, coach Josefine Ruß' team made it to the final with a 5:1 semi-final win against Grün-Weiß Neukölln. Since their dream of the title was dashed in the final against the current second-division side FC Viktoria Berlin, Borussia will be all the more motivated to give themselves another chance this Sunday.
