Team Berlin makes it to the Champions League final

Berlin in the final of the Champions League - a dream that has yet to come true for our clubs. For one referee from the capital, however, this dream will come true: Daniel Siebert, referee at FC NORDOST Berlin, will referee the final of the men's "premier class" between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal London on Saturday, May 30, 2026. The match will be played at 18:00 in the Puskas Arena in Budapest.

Concentrated experience

Daniel Siebert has refereed over 200 games in the Bundesliga 1 since 2012. In 2023, he refereed his personal home match on the big national stage: the DFB Cup final between RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt in Berlin's Olympic Stadium. Internationally, the 42-year-old referee has so far officiated on the big stage at the 2021 European Championship and the 2024 European Championship at home, as well as at the 2022 World Cup.

The Berlin Football Association congratulates Daniel Siebert on his nomination and wishes him an entertaining, fair game and lots of fun during this great experience.
