Berlin futsal talents at the U19 national team training course

Eight talented futsal players from Berlin have been invited to take part in training courses for the German Football Association's U19 national futsal team. The measures took place at the DFB campus in Frankfurt am Main and mark an important step in the reorganization of the U19 selection in view of the European Championship qualifiers next year.

Strong performance in Duisburg opens the door

The basis for the nominations was the convincing performance of the Berlin selection at the support tournament in Duisburg at the beginning of 2026, where the Berliners secured the tournament victory.

Training courses to reshape the U19 squad

The two training courses in Frankfurt (February 13 to February 15 and February 27 to March 1) were used to assess the sporting situation and to put together a new, powerful U19 squad that will take part in the European Championship qualifiers next year.

In addition to intensive training sessions, the program included tactical training, performance diagnostics and internal test matches.

Berlin futsal continues to grow

The high number of invitations underlines the positive development of Berlin futsal in recent years. The targeted youth development work of the base in cooperation with a large number of Berlin clubs is increasingly bearing fruit.

Participation in the training courses represents an important career step for the Berlin representatives. Now we can look forward to seeing which of our boys will be invited to further training courses in order to wear the jersey of the German U19 national futsal team in the future.
