The Berlin Football Association has been successfully promoting young talent and sustainable club work for years. In the 2025/26 season, the voluntary service in the BFV will enter the next round. The Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) or the Federal Voluntary Service (BFD) can be completed either in a Berlin football club, in the BFV projects or in the area of talent development and qualification.
The aim of the voluntary service is to sustainably strengthen the development of clubs and associations through the commitment of young, dedicated individuals. Depending on the field of work, the volunteers support public relations, event management or social projects such as ALLE KICKEN MIT. In addition to a varied and practical field of work in Berlin football, the BFV also offers volunteers the opportunity to obtain a C coaching license and take part in further training measures.

Action day on May 7
In order to secure volunteer services in the coming years, a nationwide day of action for volunteer services in sport will once again take place on May 7, 2025. This is being organized by the German Sports Youth (dsj) with the support of the DFB. The #FWDstärken campaign advocates greater appreciation and recognition of voluntary services and draws attention to the need for a legal entitlement. The BFV is also actively involved. Further information will follow.
