The 2025/2026 season of the Nike Youth Cup has produced many memorable moments and has already crowned three new champions: Berliner SC (A-Juniors), 1. FC Union Berlin (B-Juniors), and Hertha BSC (D-Juniors). With the postponed C-Juniors final, there is now one last cup highlight on the schedule. On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, Viktoria Berlin and SFC Stern 1900 will face off at Werner-Seelenbinder-Sportpark (Oderstraße 182, 12051 Berlin).

Landesliga high-flyers take on Regionalliga side
For both finalists, winning the cup would be the crowning achievement of a fantastic season. Following its promotion in 2024, FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin has had two strong seasons in the Regionalliga Nordost, the top C-junior division. The Sky Blues’ current U15 team finished the past season in a strong fourth place, trailing only Berlin’s two giants, Hertha BSC and 1. FC Union, as well as FC Energie Cottbus. On their anything but easy path to the cup final, the Lichterfeld team also eliminated league rivals FC Hertha 03 Zehlendorf (3rd main round) and Hertha BSC (semifinals). In their first cup final appearance in this age group since 2019, Viktoria now faces a Landesliga team.
Despite the difference in league levels, SFC Stern 1900 can head into the cup final with plenty of confidence. The Steglitz-based team, which had been relegated from the Berlin-Liga the previous year, dominated their Landesliga division last season and finished in first place with 70 points and a goal difference of 132-16, remaining undefeated throughout. The SFC already got a taste of what it feels like to lift a trophy back in February. At the Berlin Indoor Championships, they defeated, among others, the higher-division U15 teams from BFC Dynamo (Berlin-Liga) and Tennis Borussia Berlin (Regionalliga) to secure the title. At the subsequent NOFV Indoor Championships, Stern 1900 was only defeated in the final by the eventual German champion, VFC Plauen.
