Türkiyemspor, Union and Viktoria Berlin take the trophy

1,500 spectators provided a worthy setting for the 2025 Polytan Cup final at the Volksparkstadion Mariendorf. The Polytan Cup finals for the 1st, 2nd and 7th women took place there on Whit Sunday, June 8. In the end, the deserving winners from Türkiyemspor Berlin IV, Union Berlins U23 and Viktoria Berlin were delighted with the trophy.

Offensive fireworks at the start

The 7s teams from BW Mahlsdorf/Waldesruh and Türkiyemspor Berlin IV opened the cup day. Türkiyemspor proved early on why they are considered one of the strongest offensive teams in Germany. The Kreuzberg side led 6-0 at half-time, with Zsanett Jakabfi scoring a brace (14', 31', 55') and Sanna El-Agha scoring twice (26', 30'+1). The other goals were scored by Ulrike Beyer (3'), Lara Wagner (18'), Tugce Turac (28'), Anna Laue (43') and Charmin Khakreh (56'). Mahlsdorf/Waldesruh were denied any luck on the day: a crossbar goal in the 53rd minute narrowly prevented the Blue and White team from scoring a consolation goal. The Berlin Football Association would like to take this opportunity to wish Mahlsdorf's Melanie Siegmund, who had to be substituted in the 11th minute due to injury, a speedy recovery.

Union U23 defends cup

In the final of the women's 2nd division, the U23s of 1. FC Union Berlin beat the U20s of Viktoria Berlin 7:0 (4:0) to win the Polytan Cup once again. Union got off to a good start and combined purposefully through Viktoria's defensive ranks. The third and fourth goals of the first half, which were scored by Latoya Maxine Bach (45'+1) and Lina Krauss (35'), were particularly worth seeing. The latter crowned her cup performance with two more goals (21', 65'). The other scorers were: Ginger Schulz (61') and Megan Reichenbach (89'). Viktoria showed morale for a long time despite the score. In the final minute, they also had the chance to score a consolation goal with a penalty, but the ball missed the left side of the goal.

Viktoria celebrates with plenty of goals

The third and last final of the cup day between FC Viktoria Berlin and Borussia Pankow started with a lot of speed and action worth seeing. Aylin Yaren put her team ahead in the 6th minute, but this was equalized ten minutes later by a goal from Sarah Schrader. It was now an open exchange of blows, with both teams going on the offensive and pushing for a goal. Viktoria were closer to scoring: Although they failed to score twice on the aluminum in the 40th minute, Kim Urbanek gave them a deserved lead in stoppage time. Viktoria took complete control after the half-time break. Eunice Beckmann (50th, 63rd, 75th), Aylin Yaren (52nd), Kim Urbanek (54th, 75th), Laura Casanovas Diaz (56th) and Katja Friedl (87th) increased the lead to 10:1 with great enthusiasm and precision. An impressive end to a long but entertaining day in the cup.
