Anyone who participates in the soccer match operations of the Berlin Football Association and belongs to one of its member clubs automatically confirms that they recognize and adhere to the applicable regulations and the statutes of the BFV and the higher institutions such as the NOFV, DFB or DOSB. The BFV expects its members to comply with the soccer rules and promote their implementation.
The BFV's new "Respect Charter" summarizes the basic principles and guidelines that define the interaction and values in Berlin amateur soccer. It defines respect, fairness and inclusion as the basis for joint cooperation and provides clear guidance for all members and participants:

The development of the Respect Charter is part of the "Future BFV" reform process. The aim of the project is for the BFV to be the most innovative and modern regional association in the DFB by the Association Congress in the fall of 2025. Human rights: The BFV recognizes the United Nations Human Rights Charter and undertakes to implement it on the soccer pitch and in all other areas.
Neutrality: The association is neutral in terms of party politics and ideology. Origin and nationality play no role in participation in soccer.
Promotion of soccer: The core task of the BFV is the promotion of amateur soccer in Berlin.
Rejection of discrimination and violence: All forms of violence and discrimination are rejected. The BFV is committed to protecting children and young people from sexualized violence.
Promotion of democracy: The BFV stands for the free democratic basic order and promotes a culture of inclusion and respect.
Gender neutrality: Football and involvement in the BFV are open to all people, regardless of gender or sexual identity.
Compliance with the rules and fair play: Fair play and compliance with the rules are core values of the BFV.
Equality and participation: The BFV promotes the equal participation of all people, regardless of their abilities.
Sustainability: The association acts in an ecologically, economically and socially sustainable manner.
Representation of the amateur idea: The BFV represents amateur sport, which is played for the joy of sport, without financial security.
Promoting volunteering: Volunteering is a valuable part of the BFV and is actively promoted.
Promoting social skills: The BFV promotes the social skills of all those involved in order to enable harmonious coexistence.
Demanding and promoting education: The BFV is committed to the education and qualification of its members.
