Bernd Schultz confirmed as President: Association Congress elects BFV Presidium

At the Ordinary Association Day of the Berlin Football Association on Saturday, November 22, 2025 in the community center of the Evangelical Free Church Schöneberg, the voting delegates elected the presidium for the new election period. The team led by Association President Bernd Schultz was given the vote of confidence by those present.

Bernd Schultz commented: "On behalf of all the members of the Executive Committee, I would like to express my sincere thanks for the election and look forward to the tasks that lie ahead of us in the new legislative period. With the future BFV succession structure 'Team Berlin 2025-2029', Berlin amateur soccer is facing a major project that will strengthen and bind the association and, above all, the clubs in the long term. It is an honor for me as President of the BFV to be able to shape this project with the clubs and my colleagues in full-time and honorary positions."

Following the elections, the BFV Presidium is composed as follows:

Executive Presidium:

  • President: Bernd Schultz

  • Vice President Social Responsibility: Dr. Özgür Özvatan

  • Vice President Communications: Christian Gaebler

  • Vice President Finance & Marketing: Thorsten Manske

  • Vice President Legal Affairs: Dirk Zimmermann

Kevin Langner completes the Executive Board as full-time Managing Director of the BFV.

Further presidential offices:

  • Member of the Executive Committee for Match Operations: Joachim Gaertner

  • Presidential member for innovation, club and association development and qualification: Malte Schruth

  • Presidential member for sports infrastructure: Klaus Sonnenschein

  • Presidential member for women and girls: Nadine Grund

  • Member of the Executive Committee Young Generation U30: Hannah Bachhoffer

  • Presidential member for youth: Frank Schröder

  • Presidential member for referees: David Dahlhaus

Frank Schröder was elected as Presiding Member Youth at the Youth Association Day on May 5, 2025 and confirmed by the Ordinary Association Day. David Dahlhaus, who was elected as a presidential member for referees at the Referees' General Assembly on September 19, 2025, was also confirmed in office by the Ordinary Association Day.
