FAQ

Here you will find questions and answers on general topics relating to the qualification. You can find more detailed questions & answers on the individual courses on the respective subpages for training and further education.

How do I register for a course?

Registration for all courses is possible directly online via the event calendar.

Further information on admission to individual courses can be found in the information on the respective course.

How can I cancel my participation?

Simply send an informal email to qualifizierung@spam.berlinerfv.de. Please let us know which date you would like to cancel and whether you would like to rebook for another course. Please refer to the General Terms and Conditions of Participation, which you will receive when you register.

What is blended learning?

Our training courses and selected other measures take place in a blended learning format, i.e. learning takes place both in the classroom (in the training room and on the sports field) and in the digital space. The Berlin Football Association uses the digital learning platform Edubreak to offer the best possible learning experience that meets the challenges of volunteer work. The time allocation is flexible. Individual tasks are completed over a period of several days or weeks in self-selected time slots (e.g. in the evening after work, at the weekend, etc.).

Can I take part in courses outside Berlin?

In principle, yes.

Courses can generally be completed at all regional associations. However, we recommend that you consult your "home association" in advance. You should complete your license training in the state association where you started it, for example.

Commercial providers also regularly offer courses, but these are not automatically recognized by the national associations. It is therefore essential to clarify in advance whether this measure will be recognized, especially in the case of further training to collect learning units for licence renewal.

Is it possible to participate with a disability?

Yes, together with the inclusion officers, we will work with you to find ways to qualify. We will be happy to support you all the way to obtaining your license or participating in further training. Please contact us in advance at qualifizierung@spam.berlinerfv.de so that we can plan your path together.

What do the courses cost?

The costs for your courses vary depending on the license level and the format. For courses at the Wannsee Sports School, it is possible to book additional accommodation and meals. The specific fees can be found in the announcement of the respective course in the event calendar.

It is important to us that all interested parties have the opportunity to participate, regardless of their personal circumstances. So if you need help with funding, please contact the qualification team at qualifizierung@spam.berlinerfv.de so that we can find a solution together.

Do I have to actively play soccer during the courses?

Basically yes. Active participation as a player is an integral part of all measures with a practical component. If you are unable to actively participate, e.g. due to an injury, we require a medical certificate from you before the start of the course. We will then decide whether you can take part in the course after consulting with you.

Important: it is not important that you are particularly good on the ball or show top athletic performance during the course. What matters to us is that you implement what you want to train with your team afterwards and develop a feeling for the demands and reality on the soccer pitch.

Are commercial providers recognized by the BFV?

In principle, we do not automatically recognize commercial offers. This is due to the lack of verifiability of offers that are not based on the DFB training regulations or other course structures that are not applicable to "classic" qualification measures. These courses are therefore generally not recognized, particularly in the area of training. For recognition as further training in exceptional cases, we recommend contacting our team in advance and submitting the planned course content and format so that we can carry out a case-by-case assessment. Without prior clarification, there is no entitlement to recognition.

Can I apply for training leave?

Yes, this is generally possible! As the Berliner Fußball-Verband e. V. is a recognized provider for Bildungszeit, many of our qualification measures can be used for statutory Bildungszeit. Education time can generally only be used for attendance phases during the courses.

Once you have received your confirmation of registration for your course, you can submit an application for Bildungszeit to us. We will check your application and send you the relevant notification.

Important: After a successful review, you will receive the notification by email. This is only valid together with your confirmation of registration and can be presented to your employer.
