Information on private and individual training for children and young people

Over 70,000, or almost a third, of the members of the Berlin Football Association are children and young people. The importance of protecting this group is correspondingly high. Minors are often unable to look after their own welfare and are therefore dependent on safe environments.

Risks and recommendations

Clear rules and protection standards play a decisive role, especially in additional forms of training such as private and individual training. In its publication "Information for legal guardians and clubs on private and individual training sessions", the BFV explains key risks, recommendations and measures from the perspective of child and youth protection. The PDF offers a transparent insight into the requirements for coaches, legal guardians and clubs.

"We advise against private training for reasons of child and youth protection!"

The purpose of this document is to inform and raise awareness among all those involved in order to protect children and young people in sport in the best possible way. The BFV is aware that private and individual training sessions take place for children and young people, and would like to do its part to ensure that these sessions are safe and free from any transgressions. Private and individual training sessions can only take place at all if coaches, parents and clubs work together to ensure safe conditions and the protection of children and young people can be guaranteed.
