For many years now, the An der Alten Försterei stadium has been a popular venue for training courses as part of the educational partnership between the BFV and 1. FC Union Berlin. The tradition of qualification days for amateur and youth coaches has developed into a lively cooperation, which has recently also led to decentralized measures in Berlin amateur clubs.
In mid-October, ten representatives from both sides came together for a network meeting to further strengthen the educational partnership. Both 1. FC Union Berlin and the BFV have undergone personnel and structural changes that made this meeting necessary and sensible. The aim was to bring together all those responsible in order to create a common basis and to make future agreements more efficient and future-oriented. A lively exchange, a joint lunch and the noticeable motivation on both sides showed that the partnership is alive and well and offers great potential for further developing education in Berlin soccer together.
In addition to the organizational framework, the exchange focused in particular on the design of events for the coming year and the deepening of the common understanding of education. As part of the skills-oriented training of coaches, the discussions were shaped by experiences with blended learning courses. All participants contributed their thoughts on the feedback culture, new formats for the individualized qualification of trainers and the responsibilities between the educational partners.
"We are very grateful that our professional clubs are actively involved in amateur soccer. The cooperation with 1. FC Union Berlin has been characterized by trust and great commitment for years. In the current talks, the level has been raised yet again in order to further develop our content together. As a regional association, we are responsible for the qualification measures in Berlin. But it is only in conjunction with all clubs that we can create added value and promote opportunities for coaches to share their experiences. The educational partnership supports this approach in the long term," said Sven Paprotny, Team Leader Qualification at the BFV, after the meeting.
Numerous joint events are also planned for the coming year, including the continuation of the qualification day, certificate courses for beginners and license training with the participation of the Köpenick professional club. The BFV would like to thank the hosts for the invitation and hopes for a long-term continuation of the successful partnership in the interests of the amateur clubs.
