The Referees' Committee is currently working intensively on the instructions for referees for the 2026/27 season and will submit them to the Referees' Advisory Board as soon as possible so that they are fully up to date again due to the amended rules and regulations.
Nevertheless, many points in the instructions for female referees have not lost their impact. This also includes the handling of discrimination. The instructions state this:
In the following, all forms of discrimination covered by the BFV's RVO (e.g. racism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, homophobia or sexism) are included under the umbrella term of discrimination. All forms of discrimination are to be considered equally serious, which is why the instructions for action in cases of discrimination refer to all forms that occur. The request for entries on the match report must be complied with in the case of discriminatory or inhuman incidents, even if the incident was not witnessed. In such cases, a corresponding note containing the names and club of the complainants must be included. In addition, the complainants should be asked for other witnesses. These should also be listed in the report. In cases of any form of discrimination, the reporting chain provided for this purpose must also be observed and triggered. This includes immediately informing the referees about the incident, preparing the special report as quickly as possible and forwarding it to the sports court via the upload on DFBnet.
The referee committee requests that this procedure is also applied to all incidents of violence on and off the pitch.
