U14 juniors gain valuable experience in Lindow

At the Lindow Sports School, the Berlin U14 team completed a multi-day comparative training course with the state associations from Thuringia and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. In a varied program of games and forms of play, the players had numerous opportunities to compete and develop at a high level.

In addition to the two comparison matches on Tuesday (0:2 against Thuringia and 0:0 against Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) and Thursday (1:0 against Thuringia and 1:1 against Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania), a tournament in smaller numbers was on the program on Wednesday. These forms of play allowed the players to collect a lot of ball action in intensive situations and try out different game solutions. A positive development within the team was evident throughout the course.

Targeted appearances

In the second match in particular, the Berlin team showed a high level of commitment and made significant progress. The players were increasingly clearer and more focused, especially when playing together and recognizing over-, even- and short-handed situations. Many actions seemed more structured, decisions were made more consciously and implemented together.

In addition to the sporting content, there was also plenty of time for socializing: the players were able to prove themselves off the pitch and spend time together in a photo search challenge and by playing various board games. The special atmosphere around the Lindow Sports School also contributed to a successful course.

Shared experiences

The course therefore offered a valuable combination of sporting development, new impulses and shared experiences. Important building blocks for the further development of the Berlin U14 juniors.

The Berlin team consisted of players from Hertha BSC, SF Kladow, Köpenicker FC, 1. FC Union Berlin, FFC Berlin 2004 e.V., SG Blankenburg, BW Berolina Mitte, Köpenicker FC, SV Empor Berlin, SC Borsigwalde 1910, FSV Hansa 07.
